That is what I say at the end of every class.
On Fridays (in my attempt to be the most embarrassing) I add, “Make good choices!”

My high school English teacher used to say, “Go forth, and spread beauty and light.” It became kind of a big deal:

I don’t think I said anything in particular, but I did make all of my students give me a handshake, high five, or a hug as they left the room. My last year in the classroom a small group of girls introduced the fist bump as an option. They loved that I would include explosion sound effects.

I also say “Make Good Choices” on Fridays! The #MTBoS is proving that there are teachers just like me out there.

I third saying “Make good choices!” I also say “Don’t do drugs, don’t drink and drive!” It’s my mantra and the kids laugh but they like it.
